Additionally, Garcia secured a historic achievement by earning the first-ever Open Championship exemption available to LIV golfers. The R&A had introduced a new qualification system that offered an opportunity for one LIV golfer to earn entry into The 153rd Open Championship, based on their position in the 2025 LIV Golf Individual standings.
