A New Chapter in Broadcasting

Roman Kemp has marked the end of an era by departing from Capital Breakfast as main host after seven years, with his final show scheduled for March 28, 2024. His successor has been announced as Jordan North, who will join forces with Chris Stark and Sian Welby to lead the breakfast show from April.

Expanding Media Presence

Kemp has solidified his position in television presenting, co-hosting The BRIT Awards on ITV in 2024, becoming a regular presenter for BBC One’s ‘The One Show’, and hosting the BBC’s coverage of ‘The Platinum Party at the Palace’. He currently fronts BBC One’s quiz show ‘The Finish Line’. In 2025, he returned to participate in the annual Soccer Aid charity match for UNICEF, representing the England squad at Old Trafford.

Mental Health Advocacy

Kemp has established himself as a prominent advocate for mental health awareness and male depression. His journey included the highly-praised BBC1 documentary ‘Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency’ in 2021, followed by the 2023 documentary ‘Roman Kemp: The Fight for Young Lives’, which continues to promote conversation around mental health. He has partnered with Here4You, an initiative bringing mental health charities together to support young people, their parents, and teachers. The campaign provides resources for those struggling with mental health concerns, offering various forms of support including speaking services, web chat, and text options.

Future Endeavours

Looking ahead, Kemp has launched a new podcast for BBC Sounds with British singer and childhood friend Tom Grennan called ‘You About?’. He continues to use his platform to inspire others, especially young men, to openly discuss their mental health, while collaborating with various companies and educational establishments to promote awareness of mental health issues.
