The Premier League Hall of Fame stands as the highest individual honor awarded by the League, recognizing and celebrating individuals who have made significant contributions to the Premier League since its inception in 1992.

The Premier League has unveiled its 2025 Hall of Fame shortlist, featuring prominent names including former Chelsea stars Cesc Fàbregas and Eden Hazard, alongside Manchester City legend David Silva.

The impressive lineup of nominees boasts remarkable credentials, collectively holding 44 league titles, over 5,000 appearances, and more than 1,000 Premier League goals.

Selection Process and Timeline

Football fans worldwide can participate in the selection process by casting their votes through the Premier League app or website until 12:00 BST on Monday 15 September. Following the public vote, the results will be presented to the existing 24 Premier League Hall of Fame members, including Sir Alex Ferguson, Thierry Henry, and Alan Shearer, who will make the final decision on the new inductees.

Notable Nominees

The shortlist includes Manchester United defensive stalwarts Gary Neville, Patrice Evra, and Nemanja Vidić, alongside Liverpool striking legends Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler. Tottenham Hotspur’s legacy is represented by Jermain Defoe and Les Ferdinand, with Teddy Sheringham and Sol Campbell also making the cut.

Historical Significance

Established as an online association football hall of fame, this institution honors players and managers who have achieved great success and made significant contributions to the Premier League. Since its introduction in 2021, it has welcomed 24 members, with two new players set to join this prestigious group when the results are announced on November 4.
