A Historic Transition for Norton

Norton Motorcycles has officially ended production of its current models – the Commando 961, V4SV and V4CR – clearing the path for upcoming launches under TVS ownership, marking the start of a new era for the storied British brand.

The New Chapter

TVS has confirmed that Norton will unveil a brand-new 1200cc four-cylinder superbike at EICMA on 4 November 2025. This launch marks the next generation for the 126-year-old brand and will be followed by additional models globally and in India.

The company is also developing middle-weight motorcycles, including two new platforms – a 400-450cc single-cylinder and a 600-650cc twin. These models aim to compete with Royal Enfield in the retro segment and should provide a more affordable entry point into the Norton family.

Investment and Development

TVS acquired Norton at a bargain price but has since invested over $100 million into the company, with plans for further substantial investments. After a period of relative quiet since its revival under TVS Motor Company’s ownership, Norton is now shifting into high gear, with new models, a modernized logo, and possibly a full rebrand on the horizon.

Future Outlook

This moment represents more than just product launches – it’s a reset, signaling Norton’s intention to shed its troubled past and stake a bold claim in the modern motorcycle landscape. With its rich legacy, cutting-edge platforms, and the backing of global player TVS, Norton has everything needed for a proper resurgence. The success of this revival will depend on delivering both performance and design while honoring its heritage.

According to Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director at TVS: “Norton Motorcycles will launch towards the end of FY 2025-26 in the UK, India, and key European markets. Four new models will be launched and will be available for the summer of 2026.”
