Breaking Records in the Garden State

MetLife Stadium is experiencing its most successful year to date, with a record-breaking 40 events and nearly 2 million fans attending before the NFL regular season begins on September 7. This impressive figure surpasses the previous records set in 2023, which saw 25 events, 18 concerts, and 1.3 million fans.

Summer of Entertainment

The stadium has hosted an impressive lineup of musical talent, including back-to-back sold-out shows by Kendrick Lamar and SZA, five record-breaking Beyoncé concerts that made her the highest-selling artist in the stadium’s history, and three consecutive sold-out performances by The Weeknd.

A particular highlight was the two-night WWE SummerSlam event on August 2-3, which drew an impressive 113,722 fans, making it the most successful SummerSlam in WWE history.

World Cup Preparations

The stadium is currently undergoing extensive renovations in preparation for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup, with work being carried out in two phases scheduled from January to mid-May in both 2024 and 2025. In a significant development, MetLife Stadium has been chosen to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, along with five group stage matches, one Round of 32 match, and one Round of 16 match.

Enhanced Fan Experience

According to Ron VanDeVeen, venue president and CEO, “MetLife Stadium continually searches for new ways to improve our guest experience,” emphasising their commitment to providing an engaging event-day atmosphere for guests. The stadium has recently unveiled new food, drinks, and merchandise options for the upcoming season, demonstrating its dedication to enhancing the experience for both Giants and Jets fans.
