A Year of Dramatic Transformation

Julia Roberts, the 57-year-old Oscar-winning actress, has embarked on a busy 2025, currently filming her new movie ‘Panic Carefully’ in London. The project, directed by Sam Esmail, is being described as a ‘paranoid thriller that has tonal influences of Silence of the Lambs and involves the hunt for a cyber terrorist’.

Roberts is also generating buzz with ‘After the Hunt’, a psychological thriller directed by Luca Guadagnino, where she stars alongside Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, and Chloë Sevigny. The film follows the story of Alma, a college professor caught in a sexual abuse accusation controversy.

At the Venice Film Festival, Roberts defended the film’s controversial themes, emphasizing that their goal was to spark meaningful conversation. She explained that the film challenges viewers to engage in dialogue, stating that ‘getting everybody to talk to each other is the most exciting thing that we could accomplish’.
