A Legacy That Spans Generations

John Wayne Enterprises continues its mission to preserve and protect the Duke’s name, image, and likeness, ensuring his brand remains associated with quality and timeless experiences that give back to the community.

Major Celebrations and Exhibitions in 2025

Several significant events are marking Wayne’s legacy this year. The annual John Wayne Day Weekend Celebration, scheduled for May 24, 2025, will feature special museum activations, book signings, and an exclusive VIP evening with the Wayne family.

The John Wayne Grit Series run, taking place on November 8, 2025, in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, will weave through cobblestone streets and Trinity Trail, offering views of downtown Fort Worth. The event supports the John Wayne Cancer Foundation in their fight against cancer.

Museum Experiences and Special Exhibits

A fascinating new exhibit showcases the Wild Goose, Wayne’s private 136-foot yacht that served as his retreat. The display features a hand-built model, original flags, rare footage, and personal items from his time aboard, offering visitors insight into the adventurous, off-screen side of Duke’s legacy.

Art enthusiasts can explore Andy Warhol’s iconic Cowboys and Indians portfolio, featuring ten screenprints created in 1986. These limited-edition pieces, measuring 36 by 36 inches, showcase Warhol’s signature style through bold colors and cultural commentary about the American West.

Military and First Responder Recognition

In a special tribute, veterans and active-duty military will receive free admission to the John Wayne: An American Experience exhibit during Veterans Day weekend, November 8-11, 2025. Additionally, first responders will receive a 20% discount on admission throughout September at the Fort Worth Stockyards location.

As Ethan Wayne, the actor’s son, emphasizes, ‘Anybody who has an interest in John Wayne or what he represented should come see this.’ The exhibits aim to showcase how Wayne’s character and values gave direction to many lives, representing the spirit of those who built America.
