John Bishop’s Milestone Year: 25th Anniversary Tour, Film Adaptation, and New BBC Show

Celebrating 25 Years in Comedy
Comedian, actor, presenter and former footballer John Bishop is marking a significant milestone in his career with his new tour ’25 Years of Stand Up’, which will begin in Plymouth on 2nd October 2025.
In a notable gesture to his fans, Bishop has announced that all tickets for his UK arena tour will be priced at £25, commemorating his 25 years in comedy. Due to overwhelming demand, additional dates have been added to the tour, with tickets going on sale this Friday at 10am.
From Stage to Screen
In an exciting development, Bradley Cooper is directing a new film based on Bishop’s life story, starring Will Arnett as a newly divorced man who discovers a passion for stand-up comedy. The film draws inspiration from Bishop’s own experience when he first entered comedy while working as a pharmaceutical salesman, following his separation from his wife.
New Television Ventures
Bishop is set to host a new BBC One quiz show titled ‘Wisdom Of The Crowd’, produced by the makers of The 1% Club. The innovative format will test both individual contestants’ knowledge and the collective wisdom of the crowd.
This announcement follows the successful conclusion of his international ‘Back at It’ tour, which recently wrapped up at London’s Palladium after performances across Europe, the US, Canada, and New Zealand. Bishop’s recent work includes hosting documentary series such as ‘John Bishop’s Australia’ and ‘John Bishop’s Britain’, appearing in ‘Doctor Who’, and creating documentary content including ‘John & Joe Bishop: Life After Deaf’. His interview series ‘John Bishop: In Conversation With…’ has featured in-depth discussions with notable figures from entertainment, music, and sports.
