International Ayr Show 2025: Scotland’s Premier Aerial Festival Set to Soar with Record-Breaking Lineup

A Spectacular Return to Ayr’s Shorefront
South Ayrshire Council has confirmed the return of The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight to Ayr shorefront on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 September 2025. The festival, hosted at Ayr’s Low Green, will showcase impressive and daring flying display programmes on both Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
Record-Breaking Success and Growth
Following another hugely successful festival in 2024, which attracted over 250,000 people across both days, the event has received extremely positive feedback about its improvements and overall execution. The 2025 event, proudly supported by Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd, promises to be a weekend of community excitement and entertainment, bringing people of all ages together on Scotland’s stunning west coast.
Impressive Aerial Display Lineup
The 2025 lineup will feature all RAF assets on both days, including the world-famous Red Arrows, the Typhoon, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (featuring the Lancaster and Hurricane), RAF Falcons Parachute display team, and the RAF Grob Tutor. Friday night will feature dazzling aerial displays from various iconic aircraft, including a debut appearance by the French Aerobatic Team (Équipe de Voltige de l’Armée de l’Air – EVAA). The five-time world champions will showcase their expertise with inversions, flips, loops, turns and barrel rolls.
Festival Village and Ground Entertainment
The Festival Village will be open across both days with the following schedule:
– Friday 5 September: 4 pm–8:30 pm, with flying displays from 6:30 pm and funfair until 9:30 pm
– Saturday 6 September: 12 pm–6 pm, with flying from 1:30 pm and funfair until 7:30 pm
Ground attractions include funfair rides, circus workshops, face painting, dinosaur and magic shows, bubble football, classic car displays, a Military Village, abseiling wall, RAF Benevolent Fund marquee, and food & drink stalls serving local produce and festival favourites.
