A New Kingdom Awaits

Players will follow Hornet, the former princess of Hallownest, as she finds herself captured and transported to the mysterious new land of Pharloom, where she must navigate a vast, interconnected world filled with unique enemies, challenging bosses, and intricate environments.

Unprecedented Scale

Team Cherry has confirmed that Silksong’s world will be significantly larger than its predecessor, with the sequel’s world designed to be brimming with beautiful environments, dangerous enemies, and intriguing secrets on a much larger scale. The game’s ambitious scope includes 40 boss encounters, over 200 enemy types, and an expanded world map.

Diverse Biomes and Locations

The fallen insect kingdom of Pharloom offers diverse environments for players to explore, from mossy grottos and gilded cities to misted moors, all leading up to the shining citadel at the world’s peak. One notable region, Greymoor, has been described by Team Cherry as “one of the biggest regions they’ve ever created,” featuring dilapidated towers and armed enemies patrolling the location.

Navigation and Travel Systems

The game introduces a unique fast-travel system through the Bell Beast, a giant monster that must be freed and defeated before offering transportation services. However, this won’t be the only way to traverse the new kingdom, as multiple travel options will help emphasize the world’s scale and give players opportunities to appreciate the vast areas to explore.

Release and Availability

Hollow Knight: Silksong launches on September 4, 2025, and will be available across multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Xbox One, Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PS5, and PC via Steam, GoG, and Humble Bundle. Priced at $19.99, the game promises substantial content comparable to its predecessor, which offered up to eighty hours of gameplay.
