Hans Zimmer, the legendary composer who has scored more than 500 projects grossing over 28 billion dollars worldwide, continues to expand his legacy with two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, five Grammys, an American Music Award, and a Tony Award under his belt.
In a groundbreaking announcement, Zimmer is set to return to the world’s largest arenas in 2025 and 2026 with ‘Hans Zimmer Live – The Next Level.’ This innovative show promises to showcase groundbreaking electronic soundscapes and feature a spectacular light production that will surpass his previous performances.
Current Projects and Achievements
Adding to his impressive portfolio, Zimmer’s upcoming concert film ‘Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert’ is scheduled for worldwide cinema release on March 19. The film will feature live performances of his most celebrated compositions and include conversations with collaborators including Billie Eilish, Sir Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, and other prominent industry figures.
His recent work includes scores for acclaimed films such as ‘Dune: Part One,’ ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ and ‘No Time to Die.’ He most recently composed the score for Steve McQueen’s ‘Blitz,’ which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival and was released in theaters on November 1, 2024. Currently, he is working on Joseph Kosinski’s ‘F1,’ set to premiere on June 27 from Warner Bros.
Recognition and Future Endeavors
In recognition of his contributions to the industry, Zimmer will receive a career achievement award at the Banff World Media Festival this June. During the event, he will participate in an ‘In Conversation’ panel alongside composers from the Emmy-winning Bleeding Fingers Music collective, which he co-founded in 2013. The discussion will explore the role of Bleeding Fingers in film and television scoring, highlighting Zimmer’s commitment to revolutionizing the industry and fostering new generations of composers.
Further expanding his musical repertoire, Zimmer recently released a new album ‘The World of Hans Zimmer – Part II: A New Dimension’ through Sony Music Classical in January 2025. The album features 17 epic orchestral suites, available as a 2-CD collection or 3x 180g vinyl records, including over two hours of new music.
