God of War Ragnarök Expands Its Legacy: Complete Edition Coming to PC with Enhanced Features

A New Chapter for the Epic Saga

The legendary God of War Ragnarök is set to launch on Windows PC on September 19, 2024, featuring the complete experience including the Valhalla DLC. This enhanced port will support unlimited framerate, UltraWide displays, and cutting-edge technologies like Nvidia DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1, and Intel XeSS 1.3. Players will also benefit from PlayStation Trophy support, which will be shared between PC and console versions.

Expanding Accessibility and Features

In a significant move to enhance global accessibility, the PC version’s PlayStation Network account requirement was removed on January 30, 2025, with regional restrictions being lifted on June 14, 2025. The game has proven to be a massive success since its original release in 2022, selling over 15 million units and continuing the story of Kratos and Atreus in the Nordic setting.

The Valhalla Experience

The Valhalla DLC represents a deeply personal and reflective journey for Kratos, accompanied only by Mimir. This epilogue to Ragnarök takes place in Valhalla, a new location in the Norse saga, where Kratos must confront echoes of his past and overcome internal trials.

Revolutionary Gameplay Elements

Santa Monica Studio has innovated by introducing fresh gameplay mechanics inspired by the roguelite genre, challenging players to master different aspects of Kratos’ arsenal while facing new combinations of enemies and unexpected challenges. The expansion brings back classic enemies from the Greek Saga, including Undead Legionnaires, Harpies, Sirens, Cyclopes, Minotaurs, and Centaurs, appearing as Valhalla’s chosen slain.
