A New Chapter in Broadcasting Excellence

Television personality Dermot O’Leary is set to expand his impressive portfolio with an exciting new venture, joining forces with Katherine Ryan to host ‘Silence is Golden,’ a innovative game show for UKTV’s U&Dave in 2025.

The groundbreaking format offers audience members a share of a £250,000 prize pot, with one catch – they must maintain their composure while up to 30 comedians attempt to make them laugh. O’Leary himself expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “When a show like this falls into your lap, you can’t believe your luck. Looking forward to having lots of fun.”

Current Roles and Ongoing Success

O’Leary continues his prominent role on ITV1’s This Morning, co-hosting with Alison Hammond on Fridays and serving as a replacement host when regular presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley are away. His radio career remains strong as the presenter of the BBC Radio 2 Saturday Morning Breakfast Show, a position he has held since 2017.

Additional Professional Ventures

In another significant development, O’Leary has been announced as the host of the 2025 Autosport Awards, dubbed the ‘Biggest Night in Motorsport.’ The event, taking place at London’s iconic Roundhouse in Camden, will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Autosport and the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

Charitable Endeavors and Literary Success

Beyond his broadcasting career, O’Leary maintains active involvement in numerous charitable causes, including the Young People’s Trust for the Environment, CineMagic children’s film festival, Make Poverty History, and Barnardo’s. He has also achieved success as an author, with his latest children’s book ‘Wings of Glory’ released in 2024, following his previous successful publications.

As one of Britain’s most versatile broadcasters, O’Leary continues to demonstrate his ability to evolve and take on new challenges while maintaining his established positions in both television and radio.
