A New Entertainment Powerhouse

Located next to Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, Co-op Live stands as one of the UK’s biggest custom-built arenas, hosting major concerts and sporting events. As the UK’s first fully electric arena, it’s setting new standards in the entertainment industry.

Star-Studded Calendar

The venue’s impressive lineup showcases its world-class status. The upcoming calendar features an impressive roster including Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s three-night run starting May 14, Olivia Rodrigo’s exclusive UK indoor shows in late June, Robbie Williams’ performances on June 10-11, Iron Maiden’s headline show on June 22, Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball in October, and Billie Eilish’s four-night residency.

Leading in Sustainability

The arena has recently received the “Highly Commended” certification from A Greener Future as part of its 2025 A Greener Arena program, recognizing its significant efforts in reducing environmental impact, community engagement, and sustainable innovations. The venue is powered entirely by renewable energy and utilises smart systems to reduce waste and conserve resources, setting a new standard for live entertainment through renewable energy implementation and rainwater reuse.

Community Impact and Accessibility

The venue offers comprehensive accessibility features including hearing loops, audio enhancements, gender-neutral bathrooms, multi-faith prayer rooms, a quiet space, and a dog spending room. Co-op Live has committed to donating at least £1m annually to the Co-op Foundation, and has already made contributions to various causes, including a donation to Manchester’s Northern Quarter venues for sound equipment improvements in March 2025.

Future Developments

The venue continues to expand, with recently approved plans for a new canalside development. This expansion, developed by Oak View Group, aims to enhance the space around the arena, particularly during events and Manchester City matches. Looking ahead, the National Basketball Association has announced plans to host its first regular season game in Manchester at the arena in 2027, marking another milestone in the venue’s growing significance in global entertainment.
