Christopher Lloyd: Hollywood Legend’s Latest Ventures and Real Estate Move
Celebrated Actor’s Latest Chapter
Christopher Lloyd continues to maintain an active career in 2025, with several new projects on the horizon, including a recurring role in the television series ‘Tooned Out’, scheduled for release in April.
In a significant real estate move, the veteran actor has recently listed his remodeled Montecito estate for $6.38 million. The property, which features stunning ocean views and a guest retreat, represents a major transition for the actor.
Property and Personal Connection
Lloyd and his wife Lisa’s connection to the area dates back to 1996. They previously owned another home in the vicinity that was unfortunately destroyed in a 2008 fire. After rebuilding, they made their current estate their primary residence, which has undergone two major remodels, with Lisa spearheading much of the design direction.
‘This home has been a special place for us, our sanctuary,’ Lloyd shared, noting that his wife ‘took great care in every detail, wanting to create a space that feels restorative and peaceful the moment you walk through the door.’
Recent Achievements and Upcoming Projects
In 2024, Lloyd received an Emmy nomination for his role in ‘Hacks’ – his first in 30 years. Speaking about the experience, he expressed feeling intimidated by the ‘incredible cast’ but was determined to ‘contribute’ and ‘get into the energy of the show’.
Looking ahead, fans can anticipate seeing Lloyd in ‘Guns & Moses’, an action-thriller co-starring Dermot Mulroney, which is set to release in theaters on July 18.
Lloyd joins an impressive roster of celebrities who call Montecito home, including Oprah Winfrey, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. According to real estate experts, Santa Barbara continues to attract buyers seeking a balance of lifestyle and investment, with ocean views and indoor-outdoor living being primary attractions. The luxury segment, particularly in the $5M+ range, maintains a consistent flow of interested buyers.
