A New Chapter in Italy

Ché Adams, the Scotland international forward, embarked on a new journey when he joined Serie A club Torino on July 23, 2024. The move came after the striker turned down a ‘competitive’ offer from Southampton, choosing instead to embrace a new challenge overseas.

Recent Performance and Impact

Adams made an immediate impact in Serie A, contributing both an assist and scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 victory against Atalanta during just his second appearance. His debut season in Italian football has proven successful, with the striker accumulating nine goals and three assists in 30 Serie A starts.

Career Background

Adams’s journey to Serie A included stints in non-league football with Oadby Town and Ilkeston, before moving to Sheffield United in late 2014. He made 47 League One appearances before joining Birmingham City in August 2016, eventually securing a move to Southampton in July 2019.

International Recognition

After representing England at under-20 level in 2015, Adams qualified for Scotland through descent and made his senior debut in 2021. He achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first non-white player to represent Scotland at the finals of a major tournament during UEFA Euro 2020.

Looking Ahead

Now 29 years old, Adams continues his career at Torino with a contract extending until June 30, 2027. With a current market value of €15.00m, the Leicester-born forward remains a valuable asset in European football. His former manager at Ilkeston described him as having “pace in abundance” and “power,” noting his special ability to “change games in the blink of an eye” – qualities that continue to serve him well in Italian football.
