Ayr Air Show 2025: World-Class Aviation Spectacle Returns to Scottish Shorefront

Major Aviation Event Returns to South Ayrshire
The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight is set to return to Ayr shorefront on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 September 2025. The festival will be held at the Low Green, Ayr, featuring impressive and daring flying display programmes on both the Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
Following the event’s tremendous success in previous years, the 2025 edition marks the third time the Council has organized this hugely popular festival, which attracted over 250,000 people across both days in its last iteration.
World-Class Display Teams
The 2025 lineup will feature all RAF assets on both days, including the Red Arrows, Typhoon, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (featuring the Lancaster and Hurricane), RAF Falcons Parachute display team, and the RAF Grob Tutor.
The Friday night program will showcase dazzling aerial displays from various iconic aircraft, including headline displays from the magnificent Red Arrows and RAF Typhoon. A special highlight will be the debut appearance of the French Aerobatic Team (Équipe de Voltige de l’Armée de l’Air), five-time world champions who will demonstrate their expertise through inversions, flips, loops, turns, and barrel rolls.
Festival Village and Entertainment
Beyond the aerial displays, the festival offers entertainment for the whole family within the Festival Village, including a thrilling funfair, abseiling wall, children’s entertainment, STEM zone, military village, and aircraft simulator.
The event, proudly supported by Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd, drew over 260,000 visitors in 2024. The 2025 Festival of Flight promises to be a weekend of community excitement and entertainment, bringing people of all ages together on Scotland’s stunning west coast in Ayr, offering everything from Red Arrows displays to family funfair activities in a seaside festival atmosphere.
