A Historic Achievement at the US Open

Aryna Sabalenka has etched her name in tennis history by becoming the first woman in 11 years to win consecutive US Open championships, displaying remarkable composure throughout her victory over Amanda Anisimova in straight sets.

Elite Company and Remarkable Performance

This achievement places her in an exclusive club as the 10th woman to win consecutive US Open championships, joining legendary players such as Margaret Court, Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, Venus Williams, Kim Clijsters, and Serena Williams.

The defending champion faced American favorite Amanda Anisimova in this year’s final, securing victory in a tight two-setter. Despite a brief setback when serving for the match at 5-4 in the second set, she regrouped impressively to close out the match 6-3, 7-6(3).

2025: A Year of Dominance

Sabalenka’s 2025 season has been nothing short of spectacular, with victories already at prestigious tournaments including Madrid, Miami, and Brisbane. She has also reached the finals of both the Australian and French Opens this year.

Currently ranked as the world No. 1 in women’s singles and a former world No. 1 in doubles, Sabalenka has accumulated an impressive 21 WTA Tour-level singles titles, including four majors – two at the Australian Open and two at the US Open – as well as nine WTA 1000 events.

Her success is supported by a strong team, including Belarusian tennis legend Max Mirnyi, who joined her coaching team as a consultant in 2025. Her current team comprises coach Anton Dubrov, Mirnyi, fitness trainer Jason Stacy, and hitting partner Andrei Vasilevski.
