Rising Star Making History

Arvid Anand Olof Lindblad, a British-Swedish racing driver, currently competes in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for Campos Racing as part of the Red Bull Junior Team.

Lindblad has already made history in 2025 by becoming the youngest winner in Formula 2 history at the Jeddah Sprint Race. His victory came after being promoted to first place when the original winner received a time penalty.

Remarkable Journey to F1

Born and raised in Virginia Water, England, to a Swedish father and mother of Indian heritage, Lindblad began his competitive karting career at age seven, collecting numerous national and continental titles. He is mentored by 2024-25 Formula E World Champion Oliver Rowland, and entered junior formulae at age 15, competing in Italian F4.

His Formula 3 campaign, though brief, was remarkable. The highlight of his season came at Silverstone, where he achieved something unprecedented – winning both the sprint and feature races at his home track, becoming the first driver in Formula 3 history to complete such a double in a weekend.

F1 Practice Debut and Future Prospects

This weekend marks a significant milestone as Lindblad will make his Formula 1 debut in Free Practice 1 at Silverstone, taking over Yuki Tsunoda’s RB21. At just 17 years old, he has already caught the attention of many fans and pundits, notably impressing key Red Bull figures including Christian Horner and Helmut Marko.

The FIA World Motor Sport Council has recognized Lindblad’s exceptional talent by granting him a Super License before his 18th birthday, marking what has been described as a rapid rise from F4 to the pinnacle of motorsport in just two years.
