Lady Gaga Transforms into Mysterious Nevermore Professor for Wednesday Season 2

A Star Joins the Gothic World of Wednesday
Lady Gaga has joined the cast of Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 as the mysterious and enigmatic Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher. According to Jenna Ortega, who’s also a producer on the show, Gaga’s transformation into Rotwood was seamless, as if she’d always been meant to walk the halls of Nevermore.
A Haunting Role Revealed
Gaga’s character is revealed in episode six, ‘Woe Thyself,’ as the ghost of Rosaline Rotwood, a Raven like Wednesday herself and a former teacher at the school. In a dramatic turn of events, when Wednesday seeks Rotwood’s help to regain her psychic ability, the ghostly professor forces Wednesday and Enid to switch bodies, with death looming if they fail to truly understand each other.
New Music for the Series
Alongside her acting role, Gaga has created a new track titled ‘The Dead Dance’ for the series. The song, inspired by a breakup, explores themes of lost love and healing. As Gaga explains, it features ‘a really cool, funky beat’ and evolves into a celebration of friendship during tough times.
A Spectacular Launch
The announcement of Gaga’s role came with a spectacular performance at TUDUM 2025, where she performed three songs: ‘Zombieboy,’ ‘Bloody Mary,’ and ‘Abracadabra.’ The performance included professional dancers recreating Wednesday’s iconic dance from season 1.
Wednesday Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix, with fresh foes and woes awaiting everyone’s favorite storm cloud in the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy.
