Angela Brings Heavenly Combat to Marvel Rivals in Ambitious Season 4 Update

A Divine Warrior Enters the Fray
Marvel has officially announced the addition of Angela to their video game Marvel Rivals in the fourth season, titled Heart of the Dragon, launching September 12, 2025. The character represents an intriguing bridge between Marvel’s past and present, evolving from her controversial origins to her current status as Thor’s sister.
Season 4: Heart of the Dragon
Heart of the Dragon marks the fourth season of Marvel Rivals, the acclaimed Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter. The update will introduce Angela as a playable hero alongside a new Convergence Mode map set in K’un-Lun: Heart of Heaven. The season brings new features, modes, special events, and quality-of-life updates, with PlayStation 4 compatibility launching the same day.
Angela’s Combat Arsenal
As a Vanguard class warrior, Angela wields Ichors – a unique liquid metal that she can shape into various weapons. Her combat abilities include aerial attacks with a razor-sharp spear, defensive maneuvers with a morphing shield, and devastating ground assaults using dual axes to protect allies and crush opponents.
Storyline Integration
The season’s narrative centers around the Timestream Entanglement, where the Immortal Dragon Shou-Lao lies in suspended animation. This scenario has attracted Angela, the Hand of Heaven and former Asgard’s Assassin, into the conflict. The story also reveals Daredevil as Dizang, ruler of the Eighth City, who sacrificed everything in a war between gods and demons. With these powerful forces converging and Doctor Doom’s schemes in play, K’un-Lun’s fate hangs in the balance.
Game Expansion
The update includes the new K’un-Lun: Heart of Heaven Convergence mode map launching September 25, along with enhanced Team-Up abilities. Players can enjoy permanent additions to Arcade Mode, including Clone Rumble and Giant-Size Brain Blast. The game will also introduce Free Fight mode, allowing duplicate heroes, and a Conquest mode focused on KO-based point scoring.
